One of the things about being a non-empowered hero is having to deal with the lumps when a fight doesn’t go to plan. It’s good that it should have happened with a supervillain who, puzzlingly, didn’t really seem to want her permanently out of the fight.
Kinda hard to have fights with dead people with no necromancers nearby.
Not sure why you’re just imagining Dula’s motivations and desires and assuming it’s canon.
Her mom showed up, and the villain fled. There was some implication that Jackie was about to be executed (“I’ll make this quick”).
Yeah! Looking forward to continuing the story.

Maybe down the road,do a slice of life moment with Jackie and her dad,but then it becomes a certain scene from the film A Christmas Story where Mark is doing something with the car(i.e. changing a tire)and when he drops a tool or whatever on the ground,Jackie would say(allegedly) “Oh fudge!!!”
I’m not really interested in ripping off other works for a scene that wouldn’t even make sense in the context of mine.

holy cow hell must have frozen over! I marked this one off for dead! I only came back cause I noticed opera had changed it’s hotkeys and this was stored in a dead comic folder.
