It’s all suddenly become g real rather than the fantasy it was to her. She may discover the wanting to be a hero is a lot better than the actualbeing a hero. Heroism is about sacrifice. Is she ready for that?
“Dear mom and dada. Gone off with Miss Melee to learn to fight crime.” You can’t do that. It’s a secret. Besides, mom would probably blow a gasket if she found out.
I’m guessing that Miss Melee’s secret superhero first name is Olivia or Onyx or Overachieving or something else starting with “o” so her superhero initials are M. O. M.
She is now going by the name of Miss Olivia Melee in my head cannon and there’s nothing you can do about it (unless you’re the author and have something more awesome for her)
She’s obviously got a little paranoia about the secret ID thing going. At some point, you’d think she’d get around to telling her husband of 15 years about her other life. Especially in that period of pseudo retirement. “You think you have some stories, honey? Let me tell you what I did when I was young and stupid.” or “So, you built Miss Melee’s bike? Let me tell you about that.”

Oh no! That mysterious vigilante just abducted your daughter, Janice!
I’m wondering where this is going.
Er — Jackie gets handed over, told if she doesn’t do it right, she’s not going to be hero, and gets put through the ringer?
This is implying that new characters could be showing up.
We are gonna meet an analog of Wildcat arn’t we
Jackie gonna learn The Punch
Jackie’s eyes on the bottom left panel… The dinner plate-sized eyes, sign of a girl in complete awe. This will be her best day ever!
Something similar to the X-men’s Danger Room?
awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
I half expected Jackie to pack her costume away, never to wear it again!
We’re going straight to the Cobra Kai dojo!
Biggest letdown ever when it turns out she just needs help at a Pokémon go gym battle.

Welcome… to Hero Boot Camp! I am your Drill Instructor! As far as you are concerned, I outrank God!
Drop and give me fifty! NOW, maggot!
‘Should we have left a note for my mom, though?”

Keeping her own secret identity is one thing (assuming she has), but this feels like maybe something Janice should have discussed with Mark.
How could she, without blowing her cover?
