Well, we might just got an answer, why did she abandon vigilantism for such a long time. Having a child is one thing, but I think this regret was a big factor to change focus of her life to family.
Actually it was shown in a flashback that she never really gave up crimefighting, she just did it on the down low and more on a part time basis than full time after she had Jackie.
