So ends probably the strangest mother-daughter bonding session in the history of Metrovale!
I do love all the facial expressions in this one! You guys have got a talent for emphasising Jackie’s youth and the fact that there is still a very large amount of child in her. You also are doing a good job at showing Jan’s love for her daughter peeking out from behind Miss Melee’s mask.
Oh wow, coloring mistake on that first panel makes what’s dripping from Kid Melee’s mouth look like blood rather than drool. So at first glance, it seems like she’s slumped due to a horrible beating.
Oh, I’m sure. It was just a little surprising for those of us not familiar with manga and the tropes that have developed around it. It’s clear enough now it’s been explained. 🙂
Though probably a bit more physically intense than previous all-nighters. Not quite the same as discovering at 7AM you just spent the whole night wiki-walking, or raiding in the MMORPG of your choice.

the best ones are when you actually crawl in bed close to on time, can’t sleep, and go back and definitely don’t spend even more money online.

Huh? It’s an anime expression where part of the mouth deforms to show tiredness.
But this isn’t anime. It’s not even manga.
Anyway, any such convention is a bastardization of the drool that Matthew mentions.
