First Jackie finds out that MM is not just an everywoman superhero type, MM has some sort of secret power, a possible ‘superpower’ that she doesn’t understand, and it’s a little frightening. Jackie possibly doesn’t trust MM as much after seeing this.
Then, before she has a chance to completely process this revelation, MM gives her the bigger reveal, and now she possibly doesn’t trust her mom as much either.
Jan probably should have put the ‘big reveal’ on pause after punching through the wall, but I don’t think she noticed Jackie’s shock at what had transpired.
Jackie just needs a little space from Mom Melee, there is a lot for her to process in her own headspace before she will be ready to talk to her Mom, or MM.
Or maybe now that she knows what her mother can do, she’s afraid that if she pisses her off again she’s going to get the most epic spanking of all time lol
I think that I’m waiting for the moment when the Evils and Melees discover who the others’ secret identities are and basically all feel ultra-stupid.
I’m also still hoping that Kid Melee and Evil Lass have an alliance-of-necessity in this issue to beat Bouncing Belle and save their mothers. The outcome is that the next confrontation between them is somewhat… awkward.
She could also be thinking that its her fault that her mom had to resort to doing that. She did have to help her mom out of the sewers and may be thinking that if she wasn’t there, her mom would not have been caught in that trap.
I honestly don’t think that would have made any difference. If anything, waiting years whilst Kid Melee fights alongside Miss Melee would only have added the possibility of resentment and fear of distrust to Jackie’s already-extensive list of complexes on this matter.

Jackie seems stressed by her mother’s ability. That’s not exactly what I thought was going to be weighing on her mind.
I think it’s a combination of both.

I totally forgot about the shock about the super power.

Who feels that Jan should’ve waited until Jackie was eighteen to reveal her true identity!?
