Hmm. If it shrugs this attack then the military looks really stupid for turning their backs on it. Since US doctrine is to stay technologically at the head of the curve. So what is wrong with that thing they chose to ignore it?
But it does. The V-22 Osprey has faced a number of challenges to its development and the cost, both financial and human, have been a major part of that. This thing needs to have major draw backs and/or problems that made the military over look it.
Or any area-effect weapon that disables humans through skin contact… the hair being able to come out, while nifty looking, is battlefield-insane.
Though I would hazard that it has some kind of form-shifting capabilities, as there’s no way they would have designed the suit to look like a bad B-movie designed-to-titilate outfit that catches projectiles instead of deflecting them (the boob-plate up top) and has no real protection over the abdomen and pelvis (lack of plates).
Oh. Her boobs and the stomach outline… makes her look like a Moai statue. Or one of those Torso-head mechs.
I’ve seen a mask that looks like that, but I can’t remember where. An African mask mayhaps?

Pricetag apparently. It was stated earlier that this suit costs 10 times as much. It may have used rare materials that are hard to come by.
Er pardon, 100 times as much. http://miss-melee.com/comic/4-4/
Osprey, F-35 Lightning II. Decades of production with billions spent and more on the way. And limited use. Unit cost does not factor in.
