He knows, and apparently it amuses him to keep that knowledge from her.
She’s obviously doing the secret identity to protect the family and keeping it from him to keep him from worrying. And that’s the way things are done, too. After all, this is a culture with superheroes; and that’s just how superheroes do.

Yeah, at least Bruce Wayne can get away with sleeping in until midday because everyone knows he’s a dilettante playboy wastrel! Jan, unfortunately for her, has a much more honest reputation!
Yeah, one of my RPG characters was a full-time law-student with a part-time job to pay the bills… *and* spent most of her evenings as a masked vigilante.

Really hopping Mark turns out to be a hero to. Perhaps with a suit of armor powered by a motorcycle engine. That would be cool.
But it’d be funnier if Mark turns out to be a *bad* guy. Hilarious family dynamics ensue!
My money is on “reformed” bad guy.
Jackie might not have school today but Jan has work. I wonder what her work performance is like surviving only on triple-strength coffee for eight hours?

Yeah, Mark knows something’s going on. That look on his face as she slides into bed is a giveaway. He doesn’t look angry, though.
He’s just a-waiting on the day when Jan decides to drop it on him that she is Miss Melee, so he can give a knowing smile and say, “I know”.
I wonder how far he jaw will drop when -that- happens…
*sigh* -Her- jaw will drop…

The backup is the cellphone on the other side of the room with that gawdawful tone that just pierces through to the core.
