At first I smiled at the thought of her saying: “hold the baby, I’ll be right back” and kicking some ass behind the corner, but I wonder if Jackie’s obsession with Miss Melee has anything to do with how Janice sometimes mysteriously disappeared during her childhood, and that somehow left a mark? Like she’s looking for a mother figure because of suppressed grudge to her mother or something. Am I over-analyzing this? Holy shit I can’t even read a light-hearted martial-arts superhero comic anymore these days without writing a Freudian essay about it sorry everyone I need a break.
Thanks for the quick updating schedule btw!
Over-analysing or not, it would be great if Janice’s rival for Jackie’s affection was herself.
I love the look of boredom on Janice’s face in the playground shot.
I actually read it as annoyance, which made the other expressions look kinda like that, too.
“You are cutting into my Quality Family Time, dammit!”
