I would like at least one arc where Abby tries to work out who Kid Melee is and keeps on crashing into her inability to believe it’s possible for Jackie to be a costumed vigilante. The trick would avoid making it too much like the dynamic between Carmen/Salvadora and Jean in the other comic.
Well, the guy Polecat tried to mug likely called 9-1-1 but I do wonder how long the Melees had to stand guard.
Frankly, though, that cop looks like he’s had a long night and dragging another costumed crazy off to the asylum pretty much rounds it off! I wonder if he’s thinking: “Remember: Just two more years until retirement!”
Maybe Kid Melee should have her own spin-off comic!?

“Stay down Polecat. I can snap your staff in two or, if you prefer, I can do that to your arm!”
Kid Melee wins, flawless victory.
Awww…
^_^
The cop got there rather fast.

“Polecat, we can do this the *easy* way, or the *hard* way. Which’ll it be?”
Hands up who thought that, in panel 5, Jackie was saying “Mom! You’re okay!” I know that I blinked and wondered when I missed Jan’s coming out!
