“Queen Evil” and “Evil Lass”?? Are they KIDDING? That’s like naming yourself “Rotten Bastard Man”!! Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE this comic; I love the evil duo’s costumes and Queen’s electromagnetic scepter, but… “Queen Evil & Evil Lass”? That’s just too up-front, even for the most dedicated & committed villain!
Do you remember apocalypse, genocide, Dr Doom, darkside, doomsday and sinestro? There are also teams like the brotherhood of evil mutants, masters of evil, sinister six and the injustice league. There is tradition to names like that.
In addition, in an in-universe way, such blatant on-brand naming suggests that the two of them are completely cogent of their non-legal situation and activities- that is, they’re not believing that they’re “Doing the Right Thing” and hence are probably going to be rather more reasonable and mayhaps even safer as villains to the general public, than, say, someone who calls themselves “The Redeemer” or whatnot.
I’m sort of hoping that this will actually be referenced in the story. Maybe Miss Melee saying how lame those code-names are and Queen Evil defensively replying that her forte is portable wireless electromagnets, not RPG character creation.
Pole Cat got away prior to booking? If they still have the evidence to support the arrest, he is now considered a fugitive and the cops will be working on tracking him down, with an added charge of “Fleeing Lawful Custody” or whatever the equivalent is in that jurisdiction.
Press release: A suspect, who was arrested overnight for theft, assault and resisting arrest, managed to escape from police custody prior to being arraigned; other charges will be pending on recapture. The suspect, real name unknown, alias Pole Cat, is described as a white male, 6’1″, slender athletic build. He appears to be an expert in martial arts and often uses a specially gimmicked pole in some of his fighting. He shows a substantial willingness to use violence so do not approach the suspect, if at all possible.
Even if not visibly armed, the suspect is to be considered armed and dangerous at all times. Do not approach the suspect or attempt to apprehend. If sighted, contact your local police or the FBI.
Calling it now; Metrovale is suffering the same problem as pre-Batman Gotham City: Financial corruption in City Hall is leading to villains basically having impunity so long as they pay tribute to the king, in this case, Timothy Keng.
Something about Jackie’s friends’ expressions in the last panel makes me think they’re already on to her. IIRC there was an earlier bit during a gymnastics practice or such where they were theorizing that her mom is Miss Melee, and she did suddenly disappear from school when Sabr attacked, very shortly before Kid Melee appeared to back up Miss Melee (funny how the faculty didn’t notice/investigate a student vanishing under their watch). Methinks they might be kinda like Mark, pretending they don’t notice the obvious to indulge her.
Based on the scowl worn by ‘Evil Lass’, I’ve got a feeling that I know what Anne and Abby Adams have been up to!
Depends on if the beauty mark is still there…

Could be a misdirect. They could actually be a heroic duo putting on airs to hunt down leads on what happened on how the SABER suit got stolen.

Maybe his captured cohorts will cat, er, rat him out to the cops. Assuming they don’t keep their IDs secret from one another.
Jackie should be careful not to give away her double life.
A better fix is perhaps, “I think they should try harder next time.”
Looks like Jackie almost gave it away!
Evil Queen and Evil Lass in all their 1980s neon glory…!
I’m guessing that’s the last time Evil Queen read a comic book.
How did you get Queen Evil’s name wrong? It’s right there…
positively Dazzling!
Followed by their canine pal, Mean Dog
It’s a wonder Miss Melee didn’t let her secret identity slip before this, if this is how it runs in the family. 🙂
Jackie’s new at this. She’s never had a double life before.
No one else said it, so I will.
Queen Evil is THICC!
Evil Lass? Is that Phenomenal Lass’s evil sister?
Yeah, I had an immediate “Her ass is evil?” reaction to that as well!
So I’m not the only one…
This is getting out of hand! Now, there are two of them.
Hmmm a demonic duo (figuratively speaking) to bedevil our dynamic duo! Seems Jackie needs some practice in the maintaining a secured ID dept.
Love how “Evil Lass” has a kind of “Okay Mom, we did the thing, can I go back to my room now?” expression.

I believe the gymnastics practice bit was one of the semi-canonical inter-chapter shorts.
