So… is there a particular reason Miss Melee has kept her heroic identity secret from her loved ones? Or is it just because that’s how superhero stories work.
Well, for one, it’s entirely too likely that the teenage daughter would want to tell all her friends, who would then tell all their friends and family, and the identity thing quickly spirals out of control.
For another, if Miss Melee is seen having a special rapport with this one family, her enemies will try to leverage them against her, sort of like how villains keep smashing up the Daily Bugle looking for the one guy that can get photos of Spider-Man.
