MM: Hmm, in this light, with sun behind them, those two look like, nanh! Couldn’t be. I’m just seeing things. I am way too obsessing over Queen Evil and Evil Lass.
I think it would be a great time, from the villain’s point of view. The “mild mannered alter ego” superheroes are all still at their day jobs and the “rich idiot with no day job” types like Bruce Wayne are still sleeping in after patrolling/lurking/brooding all night, so masked vigilante response times will tend to be slower than primetime evening hours.
Also the kids will be out of daycare so they can review my master plan.
Rule 12 from Evil Overlords Handbook
One of my advisors will be an average five-year-old child. Any flaws in my plan that he is able to spot will be corrected before implementation.
Actually, I wouldn’t be surprised if Keng is off to put on his ‘professional face’ and head out. Is Kid Melee about to have her first encounter with Lord Kharava?
I like the actual sound advice and possible insight into Keng here. Perhaps a little bit of “Even Bad Guys Love their Family” in play. I also like that Miss Melee ignores it, cause superheroes tend to be obsessive like that. It also sets up some interesting drama. Imagine Kid Melee getting hurt and Miss Melee going all Red Rage of Revenge on the villain only to have him look over at Kid before she throws the final punch. “And even now, you attack me instead of saving her. Where are your priorities, Miss Melee?”
Found this recently and just caught up! Interesting story! I wonder how long it’ll take for them to figure out who their mother-daughter nemesis pair is.

Boss who’s actually a villain: “Spend time with your family.”
Underling who’s actually a hero: “I’ma do more hero stuff!”
Somehow, the hour or two after 3pm doesn’t strike me as a rich time for supervillainy.
But it could be a good time to start getting prepared for super-villainy scheduled for a richer villainous time?
…But what do I know about anything like that…
😉
The Evil Happy Hour specials are great.

Good point!

Wouldn’t it be messed up if Keng ended up being Abby’s father?
More messed up: Queen Evil is Keng in drag.
In some places Keng means King. With stories like this it wouldn’t be much of a stretch for him to have a kid as well.
Maybe she will get lucky and their boss let them off early to spend time with family too!
