Someone is a serious Gadgeteer, I think! I wonder how many surprises those bikes have? That ‘exploded view’ makes me think that they have a a ‘skidoo’ snow bike and jet-ski modes! Naturally the forward aerodynamic fairing is filled with weapons!
Mark has already reminded Miss Melee that he doesn’t charge for work he does for masks. I think that it’s more of an artistic endeavour of passion for him. Possibly it’s his idea of ‘my end of the family business’.
Obviously, his above-board work must be profitable enough that he can afford to divert two whole bikes’ worth of parts and other materials to these projects without it threatening his livelihood/
It’s a good thing that Jan is an understanding spouse. Giving a multithousand dollar gift to a strange woman in a mask that you’re not married to is usually grounds for something legal.
In this USA maybe but in the world of masks it would be something totally different plus dollars to cops doughnuts that the material expenditures at the very least are tax deductible.
I forget, did Jackie previously know that Mark had made the Melee Cycle, or is she just now going, “OMG, I never knew my dad was secretly so cool (unlike my boring mom)”?
Of course, they claim everything goes back to Shakespeare, in this case the play As You Like It. Rosalind, the daughter of the rightful Duke, has fled to the forest to escape her uncle, who had usurped the position. Disguised as a man she encounters Oliver, who had also been forced into the forest and had fallen in love with Rosalind. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/As_You_Like_It Then it gets complicated. I read that there are two ways of staging the play. The first is that Oliver was fooled by Rosalind’s disguise. The second is that Oliver saw through the disguise and only pretended not to recognize her. We can see if Mark starts quoting lines from As You Like It, such as “All the world’s a stage”.

“This week on Heroic Hotrods…”
if Mark can make Miss Melee’s new motorcycle more like the one used in the 1985-86 anime OAV video series Megazone 2-3,he’d be a genius!!!
Isn’t that a trike as well as transforming battle armor similar to what was in Mospedia?
Yup 83-84 Genesis Climber MOSPEADA
So… Does MM pay for the Melee Cycle(s)? If so, how does she explain the hefty expenditure to her “unsuspecting” husband?
Or do Jan and Mark simply have separate separate bank accounts given that he has a business and she has a career that probably pays pretty well?

I was thinking more along the lines of their marriage, not legal “legal”.
I guess he needed something to do all those times he’s left alone at home. Might as well make some bad ass bikes!
She had better never complain if he misses an anniversary. That man goes all out.

We now know what Mark’s superpower is… Gadget Man!
“Cue the montage music!”
I think this is the better song.
wouldnt this be more suitable
