Given that SABR punched a hole in the ground 3 pages back with seemingly no ill effect, I’d say it’s more likely the suit just absorbed most of the force of the blow.
It also speaks to the sheer force of Miss Melee’s attack, that pounding concrete didn’t leave a scratch on SABR’s armour yet her Qi-punch shattered it.
Vanessa (SABR) is an internet junkie, which I suppose goes hand and hand with being an internet-activist/hacker/troublemaker. She had to have come across the Evil-Overlord list, but she fell prey to the New Shiney principal and definitely let the power (which is bigger than her head) overwhelm what common-sense she still might have had, which can’t have been much since it doesn’t look like she’s gotten a full night’s sleep since High School. 🙂
Interesting that SABR’s arm looks completely unharmed. This could be one of those “Only damage non-organic things”-type moves

Could be the impact compensation on that gauntlet prevented damage to the arm underneath (by design or by accident).
It looks like she’s either going to attack the ship or interfere with the teleport stream with those rockets.
She stuffed reflective material into the launcher though. The rockets would have too much blast and could kill Miss Melee. But she is making chaff?
That’s what I’m thinking. Kid Melee’s plans to make impossible for Saber to rearm herself thus weakening her significantly.
The little kid inside me thought more of rocket-to-butt and giggled. Fogging the place with chaff is a way better idea, though.
Ah, I love a nice piece of ironic gloating.
Exactly, pride always comes before the fall…
Violation of Rule #6 of the Evil Overlord List. Defeat imminent.
She’s new at this, and didn’t expect to have gotten to “overlord” stage so quickly. She must have forgotten to check the list before heading out.
True, this is literally her first day as a super villain. I think we can cut SABR some slack.

She should keep the helmet, it matches her costume and can protect from head injuries!
I really hope Jackie takes her hand off the the back of the launcher before she pushes the button. To say it’ll be hot is to put it mildly.
